Berks Arts Council Fast Lane Art initiative partnered with the BCIU Secondary Art Show held on February 22-March 8, 2020 at the GoggleWorks Center for the Arts. Art works were selected for the Fast Lane Exhibit by juror, Deb Schlouch, Fast Lane Committee and Sponsors.

By partnering with the BCIU Secondary Art Show students from all of the schools in all mediums are eligible to participate in Fast Lane Art. In 2020, 1,103 students showcased 1,731 pieces of artwork at the BCIU Show.

What is Fast Lane?

Fast Lane Art is a juried contest and exhibition, presented by Berks Arts Council, which celebrates and displays the work of high school artists in a special exhibition and through the use of public art. The selected pieces will be showcased in West Reading and City of Reading on Street Pole Banners. In addition, in 2020 an Art Walk will be created through the use of Window Art in the City of Reading.

Selected winners will receive cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. Participants will also receive a banner of their artwork.
