Support Berks Arts – Privacy Policy

The mission of Berks Arts is to inspire, engage and unite our community through arts education, collaboration and presentation.

Berks Arts is grateful to be the beneficiary of the philanthropic support made by individuals, corporations, foundations, organizations, events and government sources. All donations solicited on behalf of Berks Arts are used for charitable purposes.

Berks Arts adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights. Any gifts received by Berks Arts will be counted towards the Annual Fund unless otherwise stated by the donor in writing. In the case that the donor seeks to designate their contributions for a specific program or purpose, those designations will be honored. If we are unable to accommodate the donor’s request a representative of the organization will contact the donor to discuss alternative giving opportunities.

Berks Arts will make effort to maintain the wishes of any donor who indicates in writing that they choose to give anonymously. In such cases of a donor listing or annual report, the donor will be recognized as “anonymous”.

As a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization in the State of Pennsylvania The official registration and financial information of the Berks Arts Council dba Berks Arts may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll free, within Pennsylvania, 800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. All donations will receive either a written, electronic, or both acknowledgement and receipt.

Berks Arts will never sell donor information to third parties. Berks Arts will never share telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, or any financial information collected from donors with other organizations. Berks Arts handles all donor information to the highest level of confidentiality and respect.

Berks Arts will make every effort to list your name in donor listings and recognition materials in the format you prefer. If you would like to make a change in your listing or make a donation anonymously, please contact us in writing to the Executive Director, Berks Arts, P O Box 854 Reading PA 19603.

Notwithstanding other provisions of this privacy policy, the Berks Arts may disclose personal information in special cases when we find it necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating this agreement or may be causing injury to or interference with Berks Arts, its constituent, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. Berks Arts reserves the right to disclose any information to law enforcement or other parties that Berks Arts, in its sole discretion, believes is required or appropriate in order to comply with the law.
