The Berks Arts Council mission is: to cultivate, promote and support the arts in our community through collaboration, education and presentation

The Council is grateful to be the beneficiary of the philanthropic support made by individuals, corporations, foundations, organizations, events and government sources. All donations solicited on behalf of the Berks Arts Council will be used for charitable purposes.

The Berks Arts Council adheres to the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Code of Ethics and Donor Bill of Rights. Any gifts received by the Berks Arts Council will be counted towards the Annual Fund unless otherwise stated by the donor in writing. In the case that the donor seeks to designate their contributions for a specific program or purpose, those designations will be honored. If we are unable to accommodate the donor’s request a representative of the organization will contact the donor to discuss alternative giving opportunities.

The Berks Arts Council will make effort to maintain the wishes of any donor who indicates in writing that they choose to give anonymously. In such cases of a donor listing or annual report, the donor will be recognized as “anonymous”.

As a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization in the State of Pennsylvania The official registration and financial information of the Berks Arts Council may be obtained from the Pennsylvania Department of State by calling toll free, within Pennsylvania, 800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement. All contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. All donations will receive either a written, electronic, or both acknowledgement and receipt.

The Berks Arts Council will never sell donor information to third parties. The Berks Arts Council will never share telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, or any financial information collected from donors with other organizations. The Berks Arts Council handles all donor information to the highest level of confidentiality and respect.

The Berks Arts Council will make every effort to list your name in donor listings and recognition materials in the format you prefer. If you would like to make a change in your listing or make a donation anonymously, please contact us in writing to the Executive Director, The Berks Arts Council, P O Box 854 Reading PA 19603.

Notwithstanding other provisions of this privacy policy, the Berks Arts Council may disclose personal information in special cases when we find it necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating this agreement or may be causing injury to or interference with the Berks Arts Council, its constituent, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. The Berks Arts Council reserves the right to disclose any information to law enforcement or other parties that the Berks Arts Council, in its sole discretion, believes is required or appropriate in order to comply with the law.
