Berks Summer Fest at FirstEnergy Stadium Weather Updates and Lineup Revisions

Thursday, September 21st at 3:30pm

The inaugural Berks Summer Fest at FirstEnergy Stadium, presented by Berks Arts, is handling one more curveball with mother nature this weekend.

The family-friendly weekend of music, food and fun, presented by Berks Arts and the Reading Fightin Phils, was originally scheduled to take place in June, but the weather forecast had other ideas, prompting a postponement to this coming weekend, September 22-23.

While Saturday's forecast is calling for quite a bit of precipitation, Friday evening looks to be beautiful, with rainfall not scheduled to arrive in the area until early Saturday morning.

As a result, Berks Arts, the R-Phils, and all involved have revised the weekend schedule into a jam-packed lineup on Friday night; this is not an evening to miss!

The new schedule for Friday, September 22 (subject to modification):

5:00pm - Gates Open / Performance by Sound Judgement (Plaza Stage)

6:00pm - Performance by Billy Joel All-Stars (Main Stage)

7:15pm - Performance by Scotti Mann (Plaza Stage)

8:00pm - Performance by The Royal Scam (Main Stage)

9:15pm - Performance by Timmy Brown (Plaza Stage)

10:30pm - Thank You and Goodnight!

With the change in schedule, the scheduled Cornhole Tournament has been cancelled for this event. Participants should look for an email with details and information regarding opportunities to participate in a future Berks Summer Fest Cornhole Tournament.

Fans will still be able to enjoy a FREE Friday evening full of great music, food & drink, and pick up their Berks Summer Fest apparel and souvenirs in the marketplace.

Berks Summer Fest is the result of a reimagining of the Bandshell Concert Series in City Park, which began as a Berks Arts event in 1991 and ran each summer until 2022. Using the popular First Energy Stadium as a venue will allow for seating for 4,000, and access to food from the stands in the concourse.

“We continue to be grateful for the flexibility and partnership of the R-Phils, the artists, the sponsors, the volunteers, and the community," said Justin Heimbecker Executive Director of Berks Arts. While truncated from its original format, we certainly look forward to a beautiful Friday night of entertainment to finally make this new event a reality."
