Berks Arts Elects 2022-23 Board of Directors
Berks Arts is pleased to welcome two new members to its Board of Directors for the 2022-23 term.
Deborah Waters and Bill Nelson have been elected to three-year terms as directors of the nonprofit organization, whose mission is to inspire, engage, and unite the community through arts presentation, education, and collaboration.
Waters, a resident of Reading, is a Senior Field Manager with more than 20 years of experience in social science research, with a focus in direct marketing and urban and community development. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in urban & community development and political science from Rutgers University, Livingston College, in addition to her Masters of Science Degree in direct marketing from Mercy College in New York.
Waters is a longtime supporter of Berks Arts, having attended the Boscov’s Berks Jazz Fest for nearly two decades.
Nelson, a recently retired music educator from Sinking Spring, spent more than 30 years as a music teacher in the highly regarded Wilson School District. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Music degree, both from West Chester University.
In addition to these two additions to the Board of Directors, the organization elected the 2022-23 Executive Committee:

Past President: Keith Mooney
Berks Arts wishes to convey its most sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the following Board members, who have completed three consecutive three-year terms. These individuals have helped to guide the organization during the past decade, and especially through the pandemic.
